At Ready For Supper we've developed
an approach to cooing for yourself or your family that is as flexible as you
need, quick and easy, nutritious, filled with foods you love to eat and
cook. We work together to develop a custom strategy that works for
you. We will work with you every step of the way to learn to manage your
kitchen, include your family, shop without stress and eat food you love.
No meal plans...no rigid shopping lists..we help you build skills and learn to
make simple delicious meals that you and your family want to eat from your
kitchen and pantry. We'll help you love (or at least effectively endure)
the market, organize your kitchen so it works for you, understand how to make
dinner without much fuss, cook with your kids or other interested helpers, and
sit down to your table to share meals with your family and friends.
Cooking instruction consists of multiple
sessions to assess your needs, learn to shop, create a pantry that works for
you, learn recipes and techniques and practice cooking with what you have on
hand. We'll meet at 1- 5 times to complete the course depending on your needs and goals. Basic

Introductory Consultation:
We'll call you at a convenient time to
discuss your needs, goals, concerns and the food you like to eat. We'll
set a time to make dinner together. I'll send you a re-cap of this conversation.
It will serve as a tool for us to begin designing your course.
First Session - Dinner - we'll
meet at your house and cook dinner in your kitchen. We use this meal to
get to know each other. I'll ask you questions to further assess what you
want and need. Cooking together will give me a good idea of how your
kitchen works, your skills and interests and what foods and other staples
you keep on hand. As we eat, we'll talk about your goals and begin to
make a plan. I'll bring the food. We'll decide on the meal during
our introductory conversation. After this meeting I'll send you a
detailed report that will outline our next steps.
Session Two through Five - We'll meet at
least 2 more times (most client prefer four) to work through your goals.
Most sessions will include cooking. We may spend some time organizing
your kitchen and grocery shopping depending you your individual goals.
You will learn 5 - 10 recipes plus many techniques that will help you turn the
food you have on hand into yummy dinner. We will build a custom recipe
book with detailed techniques and pictures to help you remember what you
learned.
Follow-up:
Your instructor is available by phone to
answer questions throughout the course and for the following month to help you
keep up your skills and to problem solve as needed.
It is not uncommon for clients to take
additional courses over time as goals and needs change...we have a new
baby...get a job that demands more time...have a health need arise that changes
our dietary needs. Since every course is customized we can accommodate
your changing life and give you the support you need to meet new goals.
